Voxel Road Update
Hello everyone, today I bring you a new update!
What's New?
First things first - I managed to optimize every model! Based on my calculations I've been able to reduce poly count to 60-70%.
Working with blender was so hard in the beginning, but I learned a lot of things and the end result really satisfied me.
Car Improvements
I played a lot with the graphics of the cars. I wanted to keep the style, but add more detail to it. Car lights are now separated, so they can be manipulated.
Graphics
Some graphics have been improved, while others were added in this update:
- 3 new wheels
- Signs for the parkings
- Stop, Priority and new No Entry sign
- Added reg. no. to the main car
- New roads and new graphic for all the roads
- New graphic for both cars
I wanted to create roads with one more lane and add walkways.
What's next?
I really like working with voxels so I plan to continue this project.
For now I want to add more street objects like:
- Street lamps, trash bins
- Trees, bushes
- and other
I also plan on creating second volume with more cars. I'm thinking about JDM Voxel Cars. I've already made some new models, you can follow me on twitter I post from time to time.
